About the initiative
Initiative summary
“Peasant school promoting agroecology, biointensive agriculture, and ancestral knowledge for sustainable food systems.”
Ecohuella is a peasant agroecological school founded by the Nina Cusiyupanqui family in Sacllo, Calca. It fosters sustainable farming, ancestral peasant wisdom, and hands-on methods to grow food while regenerating the soil.
Through its demonstration farm, Ecohuella blends permaculture, biointensive beds, a native seed bank, and natural fertility methods. It provides vocational workshops for farmers, youth, and visitors seeking living alternatives to industrial agriculture.
